Expanding Opportunities Through Education
We are excited to announce a major expansion of our scholarship program, which now supports 75 additional children with disabilities and orphans across our three communities.
The Need
Education is a fundamental right, yet many children in rural Ghana face significant barriers to accessing quality schooling. For children with disabilities and orphans, these barriers are even more pronounced. Many families cannot afford school fees, uniforms, or basic supplies.
Our Response
Through generous donations from our supporters in Germany, Austria, and Ghana, we have been able to expand our scholarship program significantly. Each scholarship covers:
- Full school fees for the academic year
- School uniforms and shoes
- Books and learning materials
- Daily meals at school
- Transportation assistance where needed
Meet Some of Our Scholars
Akosua, Age 12: Born with a mobility impairment, Akosua dreams of becoming a teacher. With her scholarship, she now attends school regularly and is excelling in her studies.
Kwame, Age 10: An orphan being raised by his elderly grandmother, Kwame showed exceptional promise but couldn't afford to continue his education. Now, he's back in school and thriving.
Abena, Age 14: Despite being deaf, Abena is determined to pursue her education. Her scholarship includes support for sign language interpretation, enabling her to fully participate in classroom activities.
The Impact
Early results are encouraging. Scholarship recipients show improved attendance rates, better academic performance, and increased confidence. Parents and guardians report that the financial relief allows them to focus on other family needs.
How You Can Help
While we celebrate this expansion, the need remains great. There are still many children waiting for the opportunity to attend school. Your support can change a child's life. Consider sponsoring a child's education or making a donation to our scholarship fund.
Together, we can ensure that every child, regardless of their circumstances, has access to quality education.
